    Both of the two system needs a drain, but the softener drain needs an air gap. Best to install a drain into a floor or laundry sink.

    Speak your mind boldly to your contractors. They need you to explain them in detail what needs to be done to your bathroom. Also, ask for their certifications for plumbing, electrical wiring, tiling, etc… It will be very beneficial to you before starting the project.
