    Solid advice, new sewer lines can increase the total value of your home when selling it. Not all people know how to deal with pipes and they tend to choose brand new pipes instead of dealing with old and rusty ones.

    15 grand can be very brutal at first, but if you have the money, just go for that instead of repairing. Repairing it might just delay the inevitable. Lastly, repairing all the time also costs much when adding them up. I’d go for replacement over repairing.

    If you need to control stain absorption, especially softwoods, use sanding sealer. If not, just leave it be. It is fine even if you don’t use SS, not that mandatory tbh.
