Instant Pot buttons dead vs just pressure cook not working, two different problems?

Found these troubleshooting notes for an Instant Pot. People tends to lump two completely differently problems together under the "buttons not working" issue. Thought I'd bring it up for discussions since it comes up so often.
If ALL the buttons on the IP are unresponsive, it's the main PCB or the display module. Pop the housings and look for any burn mark on the PCBs. If found, replace the main controller (or the display module). If not, the buttons is OK.
Only the pressure cook button is broken. The pressure cook button is NOT a button. If the IP cannot build enough pressure to cook, it will not begin the cooking cycle. Fix the pressure seal/leak and it should work. Again, the unit is not broken, it's just following the build-in safety protocols.
How many of these instances have there been where the PCB has failed versus the pressure seal failing?

the sealing ring thing is legit. Mine wouldnt pressure cook for like 3 month until i finally replaced the ring and float valve gasket. Felt dumb after.

Confirmed PCB failure on a Duo 6qt back in 2021. Had visible scorching near one of the relay, all buttons totally dead, no display either.
Swapped the control board with one off ebay for about 25 bucks and it's still running today. So they do actualy die, but yeah I'd bet the seal/leak issue is way more common than people thinks.

wait so if the float valve is bad does it just silently fail or do you get any error codes? mine beeps but never shows anything when it wont come up to pressure

Hot take but membrane switches absolutely DO fail. I've seen plenty of cooktop steamers where the carbon pad on the back of the membrane button wear through and that specific button wont work. The button gets pressed the most when using the pressure cooker so its the first to wear.
