Setting the clock on a Hamilton Beach FlexBrew, is it really this simple?

Quick one for anyone who's poked around teh FlexBrew menus. Saw someone else ask about setting an time on a Flexbrew so figured I'd share what I found.
Press Set Time until the hour starts blinking. Then use the hour button to advance the time to the hour you want to set. Then wait a second or two and the minutes will start blinking. Adjust the minutes to what you want and wait a few seconds and it will save itself. Simple enough.
Though I cant promise that it's reliable though, I've noticed that sometimes the auto timeout can be a little finicky. If you're rushing to get to a certain minute the clock can sometimes time out before you're ready to adjust the minutes. Hence why people complain that their clock button is "broken" when all they did was try to adjust the time. Also, I dont believe this same time sequence work for all the Flexbrew models. For example, since the single serve Flexbrew models dont have a clock display, does that mean it doesnt have a Set Time button for those models as well? Not sure where Flex brew got the idea to include clocks on some models but not others though.

yep thats exactly how mine works. Dual version, the 49976 i think. The timeout is like 5 seconds maybe, ive definately rushed through it before because i thought it was gonna save on me mid-press

Single serve only model here (no carafe side) and mine doesnt even have a clock. So no, the sequence doesnt carry over to every variant. If theres no display theres no Set Time button to begin with.

wait does the timeout reset every time you press the button though? like if i keep tapping minute does the 5 second window reset or is it 5 seconds total from when i started

Honestly I just unplug mine and dont bother with the clock at all. Never used the auto brew feature once in 3 years of owning it.

Mine saves itself in like 3 seconds not 5. Anyone who say 5 hasn't actually timed it. I literally counted because mine was locking in before I got to the right minute.

got mine at a yard sale for 4 bucks no manual no nothing. Figured out the clock in like 20 seconds. These things arent rocket science lol

FlexBrew clocks are notoriously bad btw. Mine drifts like 2 minutes a month. Eventually your programmable brew will be brewing your coffee at the wrong time. Just an FYI for anyone who cares about that feature.

the manual isnt always easy to find when you actualy need it (this). Hamilton beachs website is a nightmare to navigate, you search the model number and get like 4 different pdfs none of which match what you actualy have

had one where the set time button was actually broken for an hour while i was trying to figure out how to time out of the machine. Was a dead membrane switch under the button.
